Editors want letters in their papers to be original and from a reader. This should correctly address the person you are writing to.
For a formal letter, skip three lines and type the writer's full name, including any titles. Thanks very much for your time. First, you can either type in the date without comma: First provide your own address, then skip a line and provide the date, then skip one more line and provide the inside address of the party to whom the letter is addressed.
